The PhiloLife Wellbeing Education Center offers a course of educational wellbeing activities for kids and teenagers. The course is customized for schools so that it may be implemented as an extracurricular activity, available online or at the school.
PhiloKids/PhiloTeens activities were proposed based on the necessity for children to acquire life skills and to get to know themselves. It is an invitation for children to embark on a journey of self-discovery which helps them understand their emotions and learn to manage life’s difficulties at different levels.
PhiloKids/PhiloTeens aims to help kids learn the meaning of resilience by building their self-confidence and self-esteem and creating their own coping strategies while unfolding their hidden potential.
The educational approach behind PhiloKids/PhiloTeens activities is based on philosophy, coaching, neurolinguistic programming, music & art therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, laughter benefits and body postures combined with breathing techniques and positive affirmations.
PhiloKids/PhiloTeens is a necessary tool that needs to be offered to our children because it teaches each participant techniques to connect with themselves, accept their emotions, and deal with life’s challenges when it arises. In addition, life skills are the most important tools to unfold the best version of themselves and the wellbeing activities proposed are a key to the enhancement of the physical and emotional states of all participants. Emotional intelligence has been proven to be the key to living a happy and successful life. Hence, we have the responsibility to give our children an opportunity to dedicate time to their wellbeing and make sure they are prepared emotionally and physically to the futures’ s challenges. The course will teach the attendees different techniques to build up their self confidence and self-esteem, it will help them increase their focus and learn how to be in control of their behavior by understanding their own “emotional triggers” and teaching them strategies to cope with any obstacle which might arise while they are growing up.
PhiloKids & PhiloTeens are 2 unique educational courses based on the practical side of philosophy. During our classes, PhiloLife coaches emphasize philosophical questions related to the relevant wellbeing topic. The chosen questions highlight the necessity of asking ourselves questions and give the opportunity to participants to debate their opinions and to learn to accept different points of view.
To make it easier for kids to understand the importance of each question as well as to develop their critical analysis skills, the founder of PhiloLife, Dr. Joelle Samaha, who is a philosophy teacher with more than 15 years of experience, has formulated an array of philosophical stories The participants in the course will engage in discussions of these fun stories in the class and will learn a moral lesson at the end.
The classes in the PhiloKids & PhiloTeens course are planned in accordance with a variety of general topics and are delivered by a specialized team of PhiloLife coaches: Dr. Joelle Samaha, Ms. Vinutha Dsouza and Mr. Girish Hemnani.
